KUBOTA UK has announced one of the largest single equipment deals in its history, with GGH Hire taking delivery of the first of 150 compact excavators as part of a multi-million-pound investment. The move follows GGH Hire’s recent acquisition by Herts Tool Company.
The order, facilitated through local dealer Boss Plant Sales, includes a mix of mini and midi-excavator models, ranging from the sub-1-tonne KX008-5 up to the 8.5-tonne KX085-5. Around 100 of the machines will be used to replace existing fleet units, while the remaining 50 are earmarked for business growth.
GGH Hire and Herts Tool Company, which completed the acquisition in December, will continue to operate as separate entities.
Nick Anwyl, key account manager at Boss Plant Sales, said: “It has been a privilege to support GGH Hire over the years and to manage their investment into quality Kubota machinery. It’s fantastic to see their fleet strengthened with this new equipment, which delivers the performance and reliability that their customers expect.”
Martin Norry, construction sales manager at Kubota, added: “We are extremely proud of the long-standing relationship we have enjoyed with both HTC Group and GGH Hire. We look forward to supporting their continued growth as they provide the very latest equipment to customers across London and the Home Counties.”
