G&H APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF OPERATIONS TO DRIVE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT GROWTH

G&H has announced that it has strengthened its maintenance team with the appointment of Ian Moorby to the newly created role of head of operations.

With over a quarter of a century of experience in building services and facilities management, Ian joins from MITIE, where, in his account manager role, he managed Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts and associated works.

Previously, he served as operations manager at AMEY, overseeing compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, and project works across the North East prison network on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

In his new role at G&H, Ian will lead operational delivery across the maintenance department, driving performance, implementing the growth strategy, and supporting employee development to ensure the highest standards of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) maintenance for clients nationwide.

His appointment comes during a period of sustained growth for the business. Recent maintenance project wins include Pudsey Sixth Form College, MCR Property Group’s Windsor House, and Evans Property Group’s head office.

In addition, Centrica has awarded G&H two decarbonisation schemes at Heartlands Hospital and Hereford County Hospital, further strengthening the company’s presence in the healthcare sector.

David Ridsdale, maintenance director at G&H, said: “Ian has hit the ground running. As we continue to expand our maintenance offering across the UK, his operational expertise and leadership experience will be instrumental in delivering our growth strategy.

“His track record in managing complex public sector contracts aligns perfectly with our commitment to operational excellence and long-term client partnerships.”

Ian Moorby said: “G&H has built a strong reputation for quality and technical expertise. I’m looking forward to working with the team to enhance operational performance, develop our people, and support clients across a diverse range of sectors.”

Established in 1998, G&H is a leading MEP provider. Its 200-strong experienced team designs, manages, delivers, and maintains every aspect of MEP schemes across the UK.
