Electrical Supplies Distributor, Bennett & Fountain Leeds, has been selected as the lucky winner in Gripple’s nationwide B-Lock campaign, earning an exclusive visit from grassroots football icon and social media personality Steve Bracknall.
Yorkshire-born-and-bred Steve Bracknall has become a social media sensation thanks to his no-nonsense team talks and unwavering passion for the game. His Royal Oak FC antics have turned Sunday League football into must-watch content for over a million followers. Earlier this year, Yorkshire-based manufacturer Gripple announced its proud sponsorship of the Royal Oak FC for the 2025/26 season.
The campaign invited MEP distributors to get involved by stocking B-Lock, Gripple’s versatile, grab-and-go adjustable hanger for suspending building services, which delivers significant time and cost savings for contractors. Distributors placing a minimum qualifying order were entered into a prize draw, with branches featuring eye-catching Steve Bracknall point-of-sale displays.
Luck was on Bennett & Fountain Leeds’ side as the distributor was drawn as the winner, securing a celebratory morning of bacon rolls and brews with Steve himself, who swapped his Sunday League sidelines for the trade counter to congratulate the winning team.
Steve Bracknall commented: “It was a pleasure to spend time with such a committed squad and share a few laughs over breakfast.”
Steve Holliday, Branch Manager at Bennett & Fountain Leedsadded: “We’re absolutely buzzing to have won! The B-Lock campaign is a great way to engage customers, and meeting Steve was the icing on the cake.”
Joe Farrar, UK & Ireland Sales Director, Gripple, concluded: “Working with Steve Bracknall has been a fantastic way to connect with the trade. We’re thrilled to see the excitement this campaign has generated.”
Gripple plans to keep the momentum going by expanding the campaign to include its Fast Trak and HangPro ranges – quick, versatile solutions for suspending building services – and teaming up with Steve Bracknall for more trade-focused events.
