Meadow Bank Residents Enjoy Creative and Social Afternoon at PNE Community and Education Trust

Meadow Bank Residents Enjoy Creative and Social Afternoon at PNE Community and Education Trust
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Residents from Meadow Bank care home in Preston, Lancashire, had a wonderful afternoon exploring their creativity and connecting with the local community at the PNE Community and Education Trust sessions called creating connections which run every Thursday afternoon from 2pm.

The visit offered residents a chance to try their hand at painting birdhouses, a favourite activity for many. Joan Graham and Lillian Billington enthusiastically decorated their birdhouses, enjoying the bright colours and the freedom to express themselves creatively. The session was not just about arts and crafts, it was a chance for residents to meet new people, share stories, and enjoy meaningful conversation.

After the creative session, residents relaxed with a cup of tea, chatting with staff and fellow participants.

Kathleen Kara, Deputy Manager, said:

“We are so pleased our residents had the opportunity to enjoy this lovely afternoon. Activities like these are not only fun but also help build friendships, stimulate creativity, and support wellbeing. It’s wonderful to see everyone smiling, chatting, and getting involved in the local community.”

Outings like this are part of Meadow Bank’s commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of residents through engaging activities, social opportunities, and connection with the wider community. Activities such as these help residents feel involved, inspired, and supported in a warm, friendly environment.

About Meadow Bank: Located in Preston, Lancashire, Meadow Bank is an HC-One care home providing residential, nursing, and dementia care for up to 110 residents.
