Caddick Secures £20m Nottingham Addiction Clinic Build

Caddick Construction has been named preferred bidder for a £20m addiction treatment clinic on the former Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service headquarters site in Bestwood. The contractor has entered into a pre-construction services agreement (PCSA) with Delamere Health to prepare the plot for development.

The scheme will deliver a 32-room residential treatment centre, described as the UK’s largest investment in addiction rehabilitation. Demolition of the existing fire service buildings is scheduled to begin before Christmas, with a full build contract anticipated early next year.

Designed by architect Anderson Orr, the new facility will include a wellness suite, gym, steam room and sauna, alongside meditation spaces and dedicated therapy rooms. These will be arranged around landscaped courtyards to create a therapeutic environment for residents.

Ray O’Sullivan, regional managing director at Caddick Construction Midlands, said the contractor is working with Delamere Health to develop a cost plan and build programme that will support delivery of what is being billed as the largest single investment in an addiction rehabilitation clinic in the UK.
