Top 10 UK housebuilder, Keepmoat, has appointed a new technical director set to oversee compliance and design management across its Yorkshire East region.

David Major joins the team following significant experience across the sector, including previous roles with McCarthy & Stone and Stewart Milne Home. His career spans more than 28 years across both residential and retirement living.

Based in the housebuilder’s flagship office in Doncaster, David will oversee the technical delivery of every development – from initial site investigations and engineering design through to infrastructure, build quality and compliance with building regulations.

Commenting on his appointment, David said: “I am delighted to bring my experience to the Keepmoat team, overseeing a fantastic opportunity in the Yorkshire East region to strengthen technical specification and strategic delivery of high-quality homes.

“I look forward to working with the wider team to support the technical delivery of new developments ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality homes that meet the needs of local communities.”

In his new role, David will oversee the technical function, supporting the progression of new sites through design, planning and technical delivery.  He will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure developments are technically viable, helping to support Keepmoat’s continued growth across Yorkshire.

Regional Managing Director, Ciaran Aldridge at Keepmoat Yorkshire East, added: “It’s great to have David join the team – his breadth of experience will no doubt help drive the region to meeting its ambitious plot delivery targets.

“As we continue to grow, with exciting developments in the pipeline, it’s vital for the communities we serve that we have strong leaders, such as David, in place to ensure the right homes are in the right places.”

Keepmoat is a top 10 UK partnership homebuilder with a track record of delivering quality new homes across the UK at prices people can afford. To date, almost 70 percent of its current developments are on brownfield sites.
