MAYORS OF BRENT AND HARROW VISIT NORTHWICK PARKSIDE AS REGENERATION TAKES SHAPE

On Thursday 15th October 2026, the Mayor of Brent and the Mayor of Harrow joined with local councillors and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Westminster to see the latest progress at Northwick Parkside in Harrow, the 654-home regeneration scheme being delivered in partnership by Vistry and SNG.

Hosted by representatives from SNG and Vistry, the dignitaries toured the development and heard how the partners are working together to deliver new mixed-tenure homes, public spaces, improved connections and community facilities. Guests also heard about the upcoming Shared Ownership homes at Northwick Parkside and the development’s role in increasing access to affordable homeownership for people who live and work in Brent and Harrow.

Northwick Parkside is a flagship regeneration project that encompasses stylish, contemporary apartments interspersed with green courtyards, a community hub with amenities, a nursery and welcoming public spaces. One- and two-bedroom apartments are available through Shared Ownership, including wheelchair adaptable homes, with priority given to buyers with a local connection.

The visit followed the recent completion and handover of the first homes at Northwick Parkside. Fifty Shared Ownership homes and 35 private homes have now been completed, marking an important milestone in the delivery of the new mixed-tenure neighbourhood, with further completions expected throughout 2026.

In addition to learning more about the progress of the Shared Ownership homes at Northwick Parkside, the Mayor and his fellow guests also viewed a new art installation at the site, created by university student Lexi, who won a competition run by the University of Westminster and SNG.

Mayor of Brent Councillor Amer Agha commented: “It was a pleasure to visit this development and see the positive impact it will have on our community. I was pleased to see the new public artwork, which showcases the creativity and talent of our young people and adds something special to the area.”

Mayor of Harrow Councillor Yogesh Teli said:  “Northwick Parkside is an excellent example of the kind of development our borough needs, delivering high-quality affordable homes while creating a vibrant and sustainable new community. It is encouraging to see partners working together to increase housing opportunities for local people, helping residents remain close to their families, workplaces and support networks. I look forward to seeing the development continue to take shape and welcome its future residents.”

Kalumba Musambachime, Head of Sales for London & East at SNG, who attended the event, said: “Northwick Parkside presents an outstanding opportunity for local homebuyers to be part of a thriving new neighbourhood close to both Harrow on the Hill and Wembley Park, with plenty of greenspace on the doorstep. With Shared Ownership, Affordable Rent, London Living Rent, social rent and key worker rental accommodation all available, Northwick Parkside meets a wide range of needs for the local community.”

Jamie Wilding, Development Director at Vistry West London, added: “Northwick Parkside is a significant regeneration project that is already delivering benefits for the local community, including the recent handover of the first new homes. This visit provided an opportunity to showcase the progress being made on site and demonstrate how Vistry and SNG are working in partnership to deliver a high-quality mixed-tenure neighbourhood with affordable housing, new public spaces and community facilities at its heart.”

Located just five minutes’ walk from Northwick Park station (on the Metropolitan line) and ten minutes from Kenton (for the Bakerloo line and overground trains), Northwick Parkside provides easy access to both local amenities and those further afield. Championing sustainability, the energy efficient new homes are surrounded by greenery, along with pedestrian and cycle routes for greener travel, while also providing easy access to Northwick Community Garden in Northwick Park. The park is also home to weekend cricket and Playgolf London, with nearby Kenton Recreation Ground adding an allotment, tennis courts, an outdoor gym, a cycle track and a running loop into the mix.

For social activities, Wembley Park – just four minutes by tube from Northwick Parkside – is home to a host of restaurants, shops and pubs, along with a theatre and diverse leisure venues, providing entertainment options for the whole family. The convenience of nearby Outstanding-rated schools in Kenton and Harrow adds to the appeal, with the University of Westminster’s Harrow Campus is just minutes away for those continuing their education after A-levels.
