Anglian Water has appointed 20 firms to a £300m mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance framework covering its assets across the East of England and East Midlands through to 2035.
The framework will cover planned and reactive maintenance, alongside smaller capital projects, supporting the utility’s investment programmes during the AMP8 and AMP9 regulatory periods.
The agreement is divided into four lots covering projects and parcels, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and specialist services relating to the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR).
The largest allocation, valued at £102m, is the projects and parcels lot, which will cover more complex and critical mechanical and electrical packages. Amentum, Galliford Try, M Group Water, Quartzelec, Ross-shire Engineering and Veolia have secured places on this lot.
The successful contractors will support the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure essential to Anglian Water’s operations, helping keep equipment and systems functioning while enabling smaller-scale capital works to progress.
The framework is scheduled to begin on 9 November and run until the end of March 2035, providing a long-term arrangement for M&E maintenance and related project delivery across the water company’s operating region.
