Manitou has reported strong sales and order intake growth for the third quarter of 2026, with particularly strong demand for telehandlers in Europe helping to drive the manufacturer’s performance.
For the three months to the end of September, revenue increased by 13% year on year to €642m, while order intake rose by 19.3% to €512m.
The results continue a positive trend for the group, with cumulative revenue for the first nine months of 2026 reaching €2.069bn, an increase of 12.3% compared with the same period last year. Order intake over the nine-month period totalled €1.693bn, up 16.4%.
President and CEO Sylvain Blaise said: “The third quarter of 2026 confirms the very strong commercial trajectory achieved since the beginning of the year.
“This performance is driven by the continued robustness of our European markets (+13.3% in the third quarter) and by a rebound in deliveries in North America during the third quarter (+43.8% in the third quarter) within a dynamic market.
“The LAPAM region remains impacted by Asian competition and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
“Our fundamentals remain solid, with an order book standing at €1,051m, providing good visibility for the end of the year.
“In line with the rollout of our LIFT 2030 plan, we continue to structure our offering with the signing of a strategic global partnership with the Korean group Hyundai Develon Construction Equipment.
“Driven by the momentum of the first nine months of the year and a robust order book, the group confirms its guidance for the 2026 fiscal year and expects revenue growth between 6.5% and 8.0%, alongside a recurring operating profit margin between 5.3% and 5.6%.”
Europe remained Manitou’s strongest-performing region, generating cumulative revenue of €1.709bn by the end of September, representing growth of 15.6% against the corresponding period in 2025.
Third-quarter revenue in the region reached €512m, up 13.3% year on year. Manitou attributed the increase primarily to very dynamic delivery volumes across its telehandler range, reflecting continued demand for the equipment in European markets.
North America also recorded an improvement during the quarter, with deliveries increasing by 43.8%, while conditions in the LAPAM region continued to be affected by competition from Asian manufacturers and geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East.
The group said its order book, valued at €1.051bn, provided a solid platform for the remainder of the financial year. Manitou is maintaining its full-year 2026 guidance, forecasting revenue growth of between 6.5% and 8%, alongside a recurring operating profit margin of 5.3% to 5.6%.
The latest figures underline the importance of European demand to Manitou’s current performance, with telehandler sales providing a significant contribution to growth as the group continues to implement its LIFT 2030 development strategy.
