Develon has expanded its Series 9 excavator range with the 32-tonne DX300LC-9, the fifth model in the line-up. The new machine features a fully electro-hydraulic control system alongside a range of operator assistance and safety technologies.
The DX300LC-9 is powered by Develon’s DX08 engine, producing a net output of 207kW at 1,800rpm and maximum torque of 1,230kgf/m at 1,300rpm. It has a maximum digging depth of 7,305mm and a maximum digging reach of 10,530mm.
A super long-reach version, the DX300SLR-9, is also available. Develon says its reach is one metre longer than that of the previous DX300SLR-7 model.
The excavator has enhanced cab lighting and soundproofing, with an operating noise level of 67dBA. Develon says this is the lowest level in the 30-tonne segment and around 3dBA below the average for other machines on the market.
Stephane Dieu, product manager for Develon Excavators in Europe, said, “With the DX300LC-9, we are continuing to build on the success of our Series 9 line-up with another machine that allows our customers to improve their productivity, precision, safety and uptime protection. The suite of integrated technology, including the standard 360-degree Smart Around View Monitor camera, optional Advanced Lift Assist system, remote smartphone start, factory 2D grading and real-time oil diagnostics, keeps operators working safely and productively.”
The DX300LC-9 incorporates a range of assistance systems intended to support operation and machine protection. Advanced Lift Assist warns operators about potential tipping risks, while Breaker Assist is designed to prevent blank firing that could damage components.
A weighing system provides information on productivity, while the joystick controls can be customised to suit operator preferences.
The excavator’s all-round camera system uses AI-based person detection to identify people around the machine. An emergency stop function can halt movement if a person enters a designated danger zone, while virtual walls can be configured to establish operating boundaries above or below the excavator.
Other technology available on the machine includes factory-fitted 2D grading, real-time oil diagnostics and remote smartphone starting. The combination of electro-hydraulic controls and integrated monitoring systems is intended to provide operators with greater control over machine functions while giving site teams additional information on productivity, safety and machine condition.
