Public to Review Plans for New County Durham Homes

Residents in County Durham are being invited to view proposals for a new housing development in the area. The plans, which are currently at the consultation stage, set out details for a residential scheme that would add new homes to the local housing stock.

An exhibition is being organised to give the public an opportunity to examine the proposals, ask questions and provide feedback before a formal planning application is submitted. Local stakeholders, including nearby residents and community representatives, are being encouraged to attend and share their views on issues such as access, layout and potential impacts on local infrastructure.

The consultation is intended to inform the final design of the scheme and help shape any mitigation measures required as part of the planning process. Comments gathered during the public viewing will be considered by the project team and included in supporting documents submitted to the local planning authority.

If approved, the development would contribute to meeting housing demand in County Durham and could create opportunities for local contractors and suppliers during the construction phase. Further details on the timing of the planning submission and build programme are expected to follow after the consultation period closes.
