Legendre UK has been appointed main contractor for a major office refurbishment at 10 Salisbury Square in the City of London, marking another significant project in the capital’s ongoing programme of commercial renewal.

The scheme will see the six-storey building upgraded to deliver 54,000 sq ft of modern office accommodation, alongside the addition of two new floors. Upon completion, the development will be renamed Oriel St Bride’s, reflecting its repositioning within the City’s office market.

Commissioned by client Original Works, the project places a strong emphasis on sustainability and structural retention. Around 90% of the existing building fabric will be preserved, with the construction approach centred on low-carbon techniques designed to minimise embodied emissions while extending the asset’s operational life.

The development has already attracted industry recognition for its environmental ambitions, having been selected for the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard Pilot Testing Programme. This places the scheme among a cohort of projects helping to shape emerging benchmarks for low-carbon construction and performance in the built environment.

Construction is scheduled to complete in Autumn 2027.

Thomas Vandecasteele, Managing Director of Legendre UK, said: “This appointment reflects Legendre UK’s recognised strength in delivering technically demanding cut-and-carve projects in some of London’s most sensitive and constrained locations.

“This project combines our expertise in complex refurbishments and industry-leading sustainability credentials with our self-delivery MEP strategy. We look forward to working with the wider team to bring forward a scheme that sets a high standard for sustainable office delivery in the City, while also making a meaningful contribution to the surrounding community.”
