The three businesses aim to demonstrate their British craftsmanship to new customers

Three UK manufacturers of essential building products have joined Made in Britain in a bid to demonstrate quality and reliability on their business growth journeys.

Henderstone, BPC Building Products and Proper Hopper plan to expand their product ranges and reach new markets with Made in Britain’s backing.

All three see the internationally recognised trademark as an important mark of quality, reliability and assurance, helping with plans to target high-end and international customers.

British stone fabrication company, Henderstone, which creates quartz, granite and natural stone worktops, plans to launch a new bespoke stone table range and explore overseas markets.

Ryan Henderson, managing director of Henderstone, said:

“As we grow and look to new markets, the Made in Britain mark gives us a credible, recognised way to demonstrate that our products are made in the UK. Building trust and authority is just as important as product quality.

“We’re genuinely proud to be British manufacturers and joining Made in Britain is our way of saying that with conviction, aligning ourselves with other businesses who share the same pride. The trademark will be a central part of how we present Henderstone, particularly as we launch our new bespoke table line.”

Similarly, family-owned BPC Building Products, which is the UK’s leading independent manufacturer of builders’ metalwork, asserts that having the Made in Britain trademark will help to generate new business.

Gareth Simister, managing director at BPC Building Products, said:

“Over the last few years, we have seen a return to people wanting products that have been made more locally. Having the Made in Britain trademark will help us to showcase the quality, availability, speed and sustainability of our products. We’re proud to be keeping vital engineering skills, employment and investment active within the domestic economy, and we expect that the Made in Britain trademark will help us generate some additional new business and secure more product orders.”

Drainage hopper manufacturer, Proper Hopper, currently sells its product all over the UK, but has plans to begin exporting to the USA, as well as to bring out a new drainage product.

Lee Spearman, owner of Proper Hopper, said:

“I want to see a thriving manufacturing base in the UK, and Made in Britain is a great certification which completely aligns with what I want to achieve. People are looking for immediacy and quality, and choosing something made in the UK gives them exactly that.”

Established in 2013, Made in Britain is an internationally recognised trademark and accreditation. The membership body promotes British manufacturing, helping members grow their businesses and ensuring that British-made products are recognised and celebrated both domestically and internationally.

John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, said:

“The Made in Britain trademark is designed to grow the trust and credibility of British manufacturers, helping them to sell more of what they make. We’re proud to be helping these three manufacturers to leverage transparency, responsibility and quality, not only for their own growth but also for the sustainable growth of the wider manufacturing sector.”
