Habiko has submitted plans for its first housing development, a 240-home affordable apartment scheme in the centre of Warrington.
The affordable homes partnership between Muse, Pension Insurance Corporation and Homes England has lodged a planning application with Warrington Borough Council to redevelop land off Academy Way on the site of the former DW Sports building.
The proposals would deliver one- and two-bedroom affordable flats across two six-storey buildings arranged around a central landscaped courtyard.
Owned by Warrington Borough Council, the Academy Way site sits immediately south-east of the Time Square district and forms the second phase of the wider town centre regeneration programme.
AHR Architects designed the scheme, working alongside project manager Hive Projects, cost consultant Abacus Cost Management, building services engineer Hannan Associates and structural engineer Curtins.
Habiko launched in late 2024 as a joint venture aimed at delivering 3,000 affordable homes across England over the next 12 years.
