VINCI Appointed to Deliver Southport Waterfront Event Centre

VINCI Building has been appointed as the preferred contractor to deliver Southport’s new waterfront event centre, taking over a scheme previously abandoned by Graham Construction and Kier.

Under a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA), VINCI will collaborate with Sefton Council’s project team over the coming months to advance the ambitious development. Site preparation is set to begin next month, with main construction works expected to start later this year once the main contract is finalised.

Gary Hughes, Regional Director for VINCI Building, said: “This is an incredibly exciting project for VINCI Building. Being appointed as preferred contractor allows our team to work even more closely with local businesses and the Sefton community to deliver this flagship development.

“The scheme will bring significant benefits to the area, both during construction and long after completion, supporting Sefton Council’s vision of attracting major events to Southport.”
