Homebuyers can explore two new showhomes and take advantage of incentives worth up to £24,000 when Harron Homes opens the doors at Merchant Fields in Cleckheaton on 18th July.

In addition, anyone visiting Merchant Fields during the grand opening weekend will be entered into a prize draw to win a spa experience for two at HUB26, a business and leisure area on Hunsworth Lane which brings together flexible workspaces, meeting and event facilities, and a gym and spa.

Buyers who reserve a home during the weekend will also receive 50% off HUB26 gym memberships for six months.

Merchant Fields is an exclusive collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes on Hunsworth Lane, where countryside surroundings are combined with easy access to Cleckheaton and the wider West Yorkshire region.

Visitors will be able to tour The Oakham and The Faversham home styles while speaking to Harron Homes’ sales executives for homebuying advice.

A range of incentives is currently available on selected homes at Merchant Fields, including deposit contributions, Part Exchange, Assisted Move and support with stamp duty and legal fees.

The wider development will deliver 291 homes, including 58 affordable homes, alongside new footpaths, open spaces, a fully equipped play area and trim trail. Plans also include a pond and orchard to support local wildlife, while homes will incorporate air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.

The Oakham is a spacious four-bedroom detached home with an integral garage, designed to balance comfortable family living with space for entertaining. A light-filled lounge with a feature bay window sits at the front of the property, while the open-plan kitchen and dining area stretches across the rear, with French doors opening onto the garden. A separate utility room, with additional access outside, and a convenient downstairs WC complete the ground floor. Upstairs are three generous double bedrooms and a fourth bedroom, with the main bedroom benefiting from its own ensuite alongside a modern family bathroom.

The Faversham is a thoughtfully designed four-bedroom detached home offering flexible space for modern family life. The bright front-facing lounge features a bay window, while the spacious kitchen and dining area provides a natural hub for the home, with French doors leading out to the rear garden. An adjoining utility room adds practical storage and connects to both the garden and downstairs WC. Upstairs, the main bedroom includes an ensuite, with three further bedrooms and a contemporary family bathroom completing the first floor.

Cleckheaton offers a broad range of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, schools and leisure facilities, including Spen Valley Leisure Centre. Its bus connections and proximity to the motorway network also place Leeds, Bradford and other regional employment centres within convenient reach.

Lucinda Dickens, Sales and Marketing Director for Harron Homes Yorkshire, said, “The opening of our first showhomes is an exciting milestone for Merchant Fields and gives visitors their first opportunity to experience the homes from the inside.

“Merchant Fields offers the best of both worlds, with plenty of green space around the development and the shops, schools and transport connections of Cleckheaton close by. The new showhomes will help buyers see how the generous layouts can work for their own lifestyles, whether they are purchasing their first home, moving up the property ladder or looking for more room for a growing family.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors and helping them explore the homes available.”

The showhomes open from 11am-4pm on 18th July. Visitors will be able to tour the homes while Harron Homes’ sales team will be available to discuss current availability, purchasing schemes and incentives.
