CPI ‘Mortar Racing Grand Brix’ set for roar-away success at Super Trowel 2026

A-MAZE-ING thrills are on offer via the CPI EuroMix stand at this year’s Super Trowel final.

The dry mortar specialist’s mini electric car challenge through a dizzying foam-brick maze is a standout sideshow to the main event – a two-day battle to find the best and fastest brickie. Hailed as a ‘Mortar Racing Grand Brix’, visitors to CPI’s stand will be invited to channel their inner Lewis or Lando whilst remotely navigating a model 4×4 Base Camp car around a circuit comprising nearly 200 foam bricks.

Speed is of the essence in this challenge, with participants competing to conquer the tricky track in the fastest time. As an added attraction, CPI’s striking, fully branded gazebo will be equipped with a twin-slushie machine, with free fruity refreshments available for mortar racers and anyone stopping by to say hello to the CPI team.

Stuart Russell, Head of Commercial at CPI, Super Trowel’s official mortar sponsor, said: “We are thrilled with our contribution to this year’s Super Trowel final. We’ve been the official mortar sponsor since the event’s inception in 2023. The contest’s popularity has soared since then. Hence, we decided to enhance our support for a competition that showcases bricklaying skill in a uniquely entertaining way. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our magnificent event stand and meeting our 2026 Mortar Racing Grand Brix winner.”

The 2026 Super Trowel final is the celebratory climax to a series of nationwide heats involving a 60-minute trial of strength and skill to build the best quality wall with the highest number of bricks. Contestants from the UK, U.S. and Australia will be competing for this year’s title, acclaimed ‘the biggest and best Super Trowel yet’.

A host of equally exciting events take place alongside the main final. These include a junior competition which will see bricklaying’s next generation go trowel-to-trowel over a shorter 30-minute period. A ‘Hardest Hod’ contest, involving a 1001-brick loadout challenge against the clock, promises a compelling display of mind and muscle, while new for 2026 is a ‘Strongest Builder’ event featuring tuck towing and a brick deadlift.

Additional attractions such as trade shows, vehicle displays and a wide selection of food and drink outlets will make the Super Trowel final a not-to-be-missed family-filled spectacle.

Stuart continued: “It’s an event that has something for everyone – there are few others like it. We are proud that our mortars are so integral to Super Trowel’s success. It ensures the bond between CPI and Super Trowel remains incredibly strong.”
