Caddick Construction has appointed Mark Lambkin as Construction Director for the East Midlands in a strategic move to bolster the contractor’s presence as it targets a growing project pipeline across the region.

Mark joins the business from Bowmer & Kirkland following a 13-year tenure progressing from project management to the role of Senior Contracts Manager, overseeing major works across the North West and Midlands.

Bringing over three decades of experience to Caddick, Mark entered the industry through a City & Guilds apprenticeship in Sheffield, progressing to site management on a range of residential and retail fit-out projects.

In his new role, Mark will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion with a remit spanning the full construction and development lifecycle. This includes working collaboratively with clients and project teams to ensure successful and high-quality delivery.

Mark’s experience includes a series of flagship high rise residential projects, including Capital&Centric’s £60m Goods Yard BTR scheme in Stoke-on-Trent and the IQ Echo Street, a £130m high rise student accommodation development in Manchester.

A registered member of CIOB, Mark is well versed in the Building Safety Act, having successfully guided projects through the gateway approval process, navigating regulatory requirements to ensure projects are delivered with safety and compliance.

Mark joins Caddick following the appointment of Paul Sykes as Regional Managing Director for Caddick Construction in the East Midlands in May this year, building on the success of the contractor’s growing presence in the West Midlands.

Paul Sykes, Regional Managing Director for Caddick Construction East Midlands, commented: “Mark’s appointment is a significant step for our East Midlands team. His extensive experience with complex, high-profile developments aligns perfectly with our ambitions to continue delivering high-quality, sustainable projects for our clients.”

Mark added: “I’m very proud of everything I achieved during my time at Bowmer & Kirkland, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and experience I gained over the past 13 years. Joining Caddick represents an exciting new chapter and a rare opportunity to help establish and grow the East Midlands business from its early stages.

“I’m looking forward to building on the region’s strong foundations, expanding our presence across the high-rise residential, build-to-rent and multi-room accommodation sectors, and working with the team to deliver exceptional projects that support Caddick’s long-term ambitions for growth.”
