CPI Mortars announces two-year charity partnership with Cancer Support UK

CPI Mortars employees have voted in national cancer charity Cancer Support UK as their organisation’s official charity partner for 2026 to 2027.

CPI Mortars has chosen Cancer Support UK as its official charity partner for 2026–2027, following an all-employee vote across its UK sites.

The two-year partnership will focus on fundraising, volunteering and workplace cancer awareness, joining CPI’s national workforce with Cancer Support UK’s mission to build a kinder world for people impacted by cancer.

Cancer Support UK provides practical and emotional support to adults and children living with and beyond cancer. Its services include free Cancer Kits to people receiving cancer treatment, workplace training to help employers support colleagues with cancer, and free nationwide Cancer Coach peer-support groups and online services.

The collaboration will build on CPI’s strong culture of employee engagement and charitable giving, through a programme of fundraising events, such as CPI’s popular annual STEPtember challenge, as well as volunteering and awareness activities.

Mark Guymer, CEO of Cancer Support UK, said:

“We are absolutely delighted that CPI Mortars has chosen Cancer Support UK as their Corporate Charity Partner for 2026 and 2027. Being selected through an employee vote makes this partnership especially meaningful, because it shows that the people at CPI truly care about supporting those whose lives are affected both physically and emotionally by cancer.

“This much-valued partnership has the potential to make a real and lasting difference to our work in so many ways. Together we will distribute hundreds of Cancer Kits to hospitals in CPI communities, provide access to workplace cancer awareness training for every employee, and create meaningful volunteering opportunities, which will help support children and adults facing cancer across the UK.

“CPI Mortars has an impressive track record of employee-driven fundraising and a genuine commitment to supporting others. We are excited and honoured to be working alongside such a highly motivated team whose passion and energy shines through in their inspirational fundraising results.

“We cannot wait to see what we can achieve together. With CPI’s support, we will create a kinder world for anyone affected by cancer and leave a legacy of hope, compassion and practical support across communities nationwide.”

Comment from Tony O’Sullivan CEO of CPI Mortars Ltd:

“Partnering with Cancer Support UK is really special for CPI, and I know that our colleagues across all our sites will be keen to support this incredible charity. We are all affected by cancer, whether through a family member, a friend, a colleague, or a personal cancer journey. It means a great deal to know that we will be helping to provide comfort and practical support to people who truly need it.

“We’re looking forward to our partnership over the next two years, with opportunities for colleagues to fundraise, volunteer and learn more about how cancer impacts every aspect of a person’s life. I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”

A partnership built on action, engagement and community impact

Over the next two years, CPI Mortars and Cancer Support UK will work together to:

  • Provide Workplace Cancer Support Training to CPI employees across its HQ and regional sites
  • Offer volunteering opportunities including delivering Cancer Kits to local hospitals
  • Develop a calendar of fun and inclusive local fundraising events, including CPI’s popular annual STEPtember challenge, skydives, outdoor fitness challenges and more.
  • Support national cancer awareness activities, such as World Cancer Day, across CPI’s construction sector networks
