Reds10 Group has appointed Steve Beechey as Executive Chair to help accelerate the business’s next phase of growth and support its ambition to revolutionise the construction sector through industrialised delivery.

Steve joins Reds10 Group after more than 15 years at the Wates Group, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Group Investment Director, Group Strategy Director, and most recently Group Public Sector Director. In this role, he led major public sector programmes across defence, education and justice, helping to shape innovative delivery models and long-term partnerships. Steve was also a member of the Wates Group Executive Committee for over 11 years, where he contributed to the strategic direction and performance of the business.

He brings with him deep expertise in complex programme delivery, public sector engagement, public-private partnerships, corporate governance, and scaling high-growth businesses. This experience will be instrumental as Reds10 continues to expand across key markets.

Steve will take up his role on 20th July 2026.

Steve’s appointment follows that of Matt Thorpe as Reds10 Group’s Chief Financial Officer, further strengthening the Group’s senior leadership team as it positions itself for sustained growth.

Paul Ruddick, Chief Executive of Reds10 Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve as Executive Chair of Reds10 Group. He brings a strong track record in construction and deep experience of the public sector, which will be invaluable as we enter our next phase of growth. His insight and leadership will help us scale our model and accelerate our mission to industrialise construction Personally, I am also looking forward to working closely with Steve and benefitting from his guidance and mentorship as we continue to develop both the Group and my role as CEO.”

Steve Beechey, incoming Executive Chair of Reds10 Group, said: “I’m excited to be joining Reds10 Group at such a pivotal moment in its growth. The business has built a strong reputation for innovation and has a clear ambition to transform how construction is delivered. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that momentum and deliver lasting impact for customers and the wider industry.”

Reds10 Group, which includes modular construction leader Reds10, brings a family of ten businesses together under one roof to drive the industrialisation of design, production and construction, with AI integrated at every stage.

Reds10 deploys Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to design and build high-quality, sustainable buildings for the public sector, with a particular focus on defence, education, justice, health, as well as temporary accommodation and social housing.

Reds10 manufactures all its buildings off-site at its advanced construction facility in Driffield, East Yorkshire, where it has five factories totalling 300,000 sq ft. By investing in its own workforce, the company delivers sustainable and innovative buildings in modern manufacturing facilities, which are then transported and assembled on site to exacting standards.
